Fantastic $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream
After a short availability back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by ProFantasy Software over the years, the complete package carries a value of over $1,300. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.
Primary Feature
The standout feature is certainly permanent access to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program which enables users to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.
An imaginative landscape chart generated in Campaign Cartographer 3+.
Package Levels
Basic Package
The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.
Mid-Range Option
The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting by adding in permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from the company's long-running monthly subscription service featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and various other tools. The Isometric Cities enables display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Starting at thirty dollars, the comprehensive package contains these components:

Every volume of Cartographer's Annual come with this bundle, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs enabling creators to craft complete solar systems, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, underground complexes, cities, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection is so worth it, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though the purchase is available on any platform, the software is only usable with Windows systems.
Philanthropic Aspect
As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. Package customization options appear near the page top, though users may also choose their donation amount on the right side of the page. There's also an donation allocation menu just below that, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
